Sizzling Sixteen (Stephanie Plum Series #16)

Sizzling Sixteen (Stephanie Plum Series #16) - So not much character progression. For this reason I give it only 3 stars. There were 2 or 3 laugh out loud moments. JE is good at those. I enjoyed the mystery and issue that needed to be solved. Kind of different for the Plum series so that was nice. There is a strong question of where Stephanie, Connie, Lula, and Vinnie will go from here. I am hoping what happened in this books helps propel a change. There was some interesting (but way too brief) moments between Ranger and Steph and then Steph and Morelli. Unfortunately, no progression at all with either man in her life. Although I felt like Steph was very close to the cliff and jumping off with Ranger -- unfortunately she was pulled back by circumstances. Additionally, JE was not subtle at all with Stephanie's internal dialogue concerning Ranger and then Morelli. It is clear that Ranger is attractive but not suitable for her lifestyle -- or so Stephanie thinks. She put alot of emphasis on being traditional and catholic. Although Ranger's declaration of Love for Stephanie (although anti-climatic) was nice. :) Along with Stephanie's internal admission that she loved both Morelli and Ranger. I likely will read #17, but seriously -- this series needs to end and I feel like #16 was definitely a vehicle attempting to bring closure -- although none was had.
